IZZE joins DWELL magazine for DWELL ON DESIGN LA -June 22nd 2008

IZZE continued their relationship with DWELL magazine for this years DWELL on Design LA conference held on June 5th, 6th and 7th. IZZE was the exclusive beverage sponsor offering both IZZE and IZZE cocktails for their two VIP events held in downtown Los Angeles. Thursday’s event was held at the popular FORD/BRADY showroom. The evening was co-hosted with Willard Ford and featured the food of celebrity chef and brother Benjamin Ford of Ford’s Filling Station. Friday’s event was held at the upper sculpture garden of the Museum of Contemporary Art and featured both a landscape design competition and a live design rendering competition. IZZE Spotted at MTV Movie Awards Gifting Suite-June 3rd 2008

IZZE was spotted at Melanie Segal’s 4th annual Platinum Publicity MTV movie awards gifting suite last week. If you were lucky enough attend this exclusive event, you were sure to walk away with an amazing experience. IZZE provided all the beverages for this who’s who of Hollywood two day event. Held in the welcome center of the soon to be finished W Hotel, IZZE shined as guests from hit tv shows, films and music arrived throughout the two days. IZZE was such a hit that a celebrity even asked for IZZE to participate in their upcoming wedding! How exciting! Can you guess who?!

IZZE Fashion Photo Shoot: May 16, 2008 NYC

One of my favorite things about my work is that I never quite know what it will bring from day to day… Sometimes I find myself at ultra glamarous NYC parties and “pinch me, can’t believe I’m here” special events- only to spend the next day In a Jersey City warehouse surrounded by ice hooks and IZZE pallets or at the NYC pound, trying to find one of our Vans that has been towed. I think of each one in the same way- an opportunity to work on something I would not usually be exposed to : )

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to play “creative director” at the IZZE Fashion Photo Shoot in NYC. As you may already know, IZZE has partnered with the Designer Loris Diran to create a collection of Fashion pieces that represent the brands personality. The pieces will worn by IZZE “taste agents” who represent the brand at the most aspirational events across the country. Mr Diran has also designed two beautiful Couture Fashions to Benefit Non-Profit. The two signature Couture gowns will be auctioned off this summer with the proceeds going to benefit GEF (Global Education Fund). The IZZE inspired gowns are fairy tale gorgeous… fit for a princess bride or a dashing diva! Best of all, as a fundraiser for GEF, proceeds will go towards improving the lives of orphans and vulnerable children around the world through education.

826LA Raises $8,700 at Anthropologie’s Eco-Dermy Benefit - May 1, 2008

Who knew there was such a craze for paper maché reproductions of animal heads? Laura Prepon, actress famously known for “That 70s Show” and more recently “October Road,” can vouch for that. She was one of our top bidders at 826LA and Anthropologie’s Eco-Dermy Benefit Thursday evening. IZZE was a major hit among bidders and patrons. Our newest Peach IZZE was favored tonight, as well as Pomegranate and Clementine. The silent auction closed just after 9pm and 826LA raised a whopping $8,700! That’s enough to pay rent at both centers in Echo Park and Venice! 826LA is a non-profit children’s writing and tutoring center. They opened their newest center in the heart of Echo Park alongside its uniquely own Echo Park Time Travel Mart. For more info you can visit them at 826LA.org.

IZZE ART Launch at Tribeca Film Festival - May 1, 2008

On May 1st  IZZE teams  hit the streets of  Tribeca and the Meat Packing District in New York City to debut our IZZE ART sampling dispensers. We received a lot of great feedback and and people were definitely intrigued by the Art.  I remember one little boy who just stared at them in awe as he sipped his IZZE. I can relate, I want to have all these lined up in my office! You can look forward to seeing more of these Art piece as they will be used at some of our ultra VIP events this summer ( Hamptons here I come : )

Movies, Art, Books and Grilled Cheese! April 14, 2008

Let me just say, I am so lucky to have this job! I meet so many great people and everyone is absolutely, incredibly supportive of IZZE and I love that! We had a fantastic weekend with The Forbidden Kingdom party and some very cool art exhibitions, not to mention, an amazing Sunday filled with the 3rd Annual Explore-a-Story at the Arclight Cinemas. Mayor Villaraigosa joined Julie Andrews and Dick Cook in a staged reading of “The Great American Mousical.” IZZE was a huge success here! Check this out, this weekend IZZE is partnering with the First 6th Annual Grilled Cheese Invitational. What goes best with grilled cheese? Well, IZZE, of course!!

I Love IZZE! - April 10th 2008

I was just thinking about this super tasty, great looking, all natural sparkling fruit juice. Ya know what?………..I love IZZE! My favorite is clementine, but have you guys tried the PEACH yet! Its definitely up there in my top 4 now. If you haven’t tried it, go out and grab one. If your store doesn’t have it, request it. Once you try it, I am sure you will be saying….”I love IZZE” right down to the last sip.

IZZE represents the home team at the ‘Let’s Talk Colorado’ Gallery opening on 4/1

Can u say ‘toast of the town’? Well, if that ‘town’ is Colorado than I will certainly say that IZZE Sparkling Beverages were the ‘toast’ at the opening night for the ‘Let’s Talk Colorado Gallery’. The gallery, located at 317 Madison Avenue and 42nd Street is presented by The Colorado Tourism Board and Think PR, was designed to bring the quintessential Colorado experience to New Yorkers. Attendees were whisked away to Colorado via many vibrant photographs that captured the state’s plush scenery and glorious landscapes. Their senses were further titillated when some of Colorado’s finest exports were served, namely IZZE Sparkling Beverages, Boulder Beer and snacks created with Madhava Honey. Almost everyone in attendance took the time to enjoy the awesome IZZE cocktails that were being mixed, especially once they were being poured over refreshing snow-cones! Nikon was on hand to really drive home this interactive gallery’s theme “Who says you can’t move mountains?” by superimposing photographs of guests onto beautiful Colorado backdrops that were then printed onto take-home postcards. If you happen to be in the area, you should absolutely stop in and take in some magnificent Colorado scenery.

ON THE SET OF “Tropic Thunder” April 7th, 2008

IZZE was on the set of Ben Stiller’s upcoming film “Tropic Thunder” last summer. Per special request, we shipped IZZE over to production on the island of Kauai. They sent us some pics of actor Brian Taylor and writer/actor Justin Theroux cooling down with their IZZE! It comes out August 15th and has an amazing cast. My wife and I were lucky enough to see an early screening and I encourage you to check it out.

Seen Any Green Bikes? IZZE “No Owner” Bikes Debut in Austin for SXSW

This was one of the coolest IZZE projects I have worked on… the green IZZE bikes were so darn cute and made so many people happy.

The idea came to me after attending several film and music festivals, and not wanting to rent a car or wait around for a Taxi… the venues were all pretty close, why not bike it? Save a little gas, get a little exercise? As luck would have it, we had some pretty snazzy Electra cruisers (I love mine!) leftover from a previous promotion, Why not share them?

So yes, we unloaded these green lovelies on the streets of Austin during SXSW (no better way to see the city!) Let’s just say people freaked! They couldn’t believe they could borrow these bikes to get around town, and then leave them for the next person to use. I loved the feeling of community and I really loved riding my green IZZE bike around Austin!
