You would think that on a Sunday afternoon most people are watching the Olympics and catching up on all the events, but not IZZE and the wonderful Paddle Boat enthusiasts of Los Angeles. 826LA supporters came out for one of the best events of the summer! It was a sunny afternoon in beautiful Echo Park and over 30 teams got together, raised over $20,000 for 826LA and paddled their way to a victorious fund raising day! And I must mention, the costumes were such an amazing added bonus! (Do you think the Olympics would consider Paddle Boat Competitions for 2010)?

IZZE is making a lot of friends these days! Lately, IZZE has been seen throughout Echo Park and Silverlake, getting comfortable in Dublab’s refrigerator, chilling out at Thinkspace art gallery, quenching the thirst of the wonderful volunteers at 826LA and recently, partnering up with Subliminal Projects and Studio Number One. These are some of my favorite partnerships here in Los Angeles! We’re so excited to work with such creative communities!

For those music lovers out there, Dublab offers some positive, cultural sounds, streaming djs and bands from all over the world. Dublab loves IZZE and IZZE loves Dublab!

Showcasing some of LA’s emerging contemporary artists, Thinkspace, represents a whole new generation of artists AND does a great job keeping IZZE fully stocked in their gallery.

Studio Number One presented “Simple Pleasures” this past weekend at Subliminal Projects Gallery with over 20 exhibitors from local shops to independent zine publishers and I got to see Daedelus, a Dublab favorite! He was making music with an ice-cold refreshing Grapefruit IZZE next to him.

Over the weekend the IZZE ART dispensers wowed the crowd at the EXTRAVAGANZA FOR THE SENSES held at the Fox lot. This annual fundrasier is a summer favorite of ours. Top restaurants and wineries come together to excite your senses with a tantalizing evening of wine, food, music and fun. Guests were in awe as the sampled IZZE from the dispensers. It was a great event and we are already looking forward to next year! The summer is still young here in LA, keep your eyes peeled for more amazing events featuring these great new additions.

Have we mentioned how much IZZE loves improvising? Last month, IZZE spent seven wonderful days at the 6th Annual LA Improv Festival at iO West, serving ice-cold IZZE cocktails to performers in the greenroom. It was THE place to be at the LA Improv Fest! And I must mention, those IZZE tattoos were a huge hit! We branded performers before they hit the stage. There were cast members from shows like SNL, Reno 911, The Office, MadTV, and they all had an IZZE experience! Peach and Pomegranate were favorites among performers.

Now with the success of the LA Improv Fest, IZZE has teamed up with the San Francisco Improv Alliance for their 5th Annual SF Improv Festival; the longest running Improv Fest to date, running from July 10 to August 23, 2008. Can we get a suggestion from the audience? Let’s see what Improv teams can create Improv genius with our one word suggestion: IZZE!

Twinkle and Lucky Magazine hosted a fabulous party at Marquee last night. The stylish guests enjoyed IZZE at the bar and in their giftbags: a fun and resuable Lucky Magazine shopping tote!

About the Designer: Twinkle by Wenlan made its runway debut at the Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion Show in February 2002. The first collection received praise by both the New York Times who gave it “kudos” and Women’s Wear Daily who called it a “bright spot” of fashion week. Twinkle has since shown consistently during New York Fashion Week.

I love their dresses and blouses, just the thing to wear at a summer soiree, be it in NYC, the Hamptons, LA or Miami and all points in between.
